Description
OTT is a three-band upward and downward compressor for adding density, brightness, and aggressive movement to electronic sounds. Xfer Records exposes simple Depth, Time, Input, and Output controls, with separate low, mid, and high-band meters showing the processed signal and gain reduction.
Depth scales the amount of compression and excitation, while Time changes the attack and release behavior across the bands. Input and Output provide gain staging around the effect, which is useful when pushing a bass, synth, drum bus, or sound-design layer.
OTT can be subtle when Depth is restrained, but its signature use is pronounced, forward dynamics in dubstep, electro, bass music, trap, and modern electronic production.
