Description
Mix Locker is Audio Assault's modular mixing suite for building processor chains from a single rack-style interface. The base download includes ten starter modules covering gate, reverb, delay, compression, de-essing, chorus, graphic EQ, parametric EQ, and high-pass/low-pass filtering.
The workflow is built around fast drag-and-drop chain creation instead of opening a separate plugin for every processor. Each module can use its own oversampling, stereo or mid-side configuration, gain control, and metering, with zero latency when oversampling is not enabled.
The included module set is broad enough for everyday channel-strip duties, quick vocal cleanup, basic drum shaping, and simple mix-bus tone work. It is not a closed bundle, though: Audio Assault sells extra modules individually and also offers a subscription for the expanded Mix Locker and Amp Locker catalog.
That makes Mix Locker best treated as a starter rack and ecosystem hub rather than a one-time complete replacement for every mix plugin. The upside is convenience, Linux support, and a practical set of core processors that can stay in one resizable interface.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Mix Locker one plugin or a bundle of separate plugins?
Mix Locker is a hub-style rack for Audio Assault mixing modules. You install Mix Locker itself, then load included or purchased modules inside that interface rather than downloading each module as a separate standalone installer.
What modules are included in the base Mix Locker install?
Audio Assault lists ten included modules: Gate, AA Verb, Delay, BLK Compressor, Deessor, Chorus, RED Compressor, G-EQ, ParametriQ, and HPLP. These cover basic dynamics, EQ, filtering, delay, reverb, and modulation work.
Do the paid modules affect the included modules?
No. The official page separates the free starter gear from optional purchases and the $5 monthly subscription. The paid modules expand the rack, but the included starter modules are presented as the entry point for Mix Locker.
Why are the downloads linked externally instead of mirrored?
The official installer URLs are direct public downloads, but this review run could not upload and verify exact R2 object keys because wrangler is unavailable. The artifact therefore keeps the official Audio Assault URLs as external downloads.
