Mars800Free is a guitar amp simulator based on the bright, aggressive character of a classic British JCM800-style head. It focuses on single-channel rock tones, with Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence, and Master controls for moving from thick crunch to cutting lead sounds.
Under the simple front-panel concept, DiBiQuadro builds the amp around a 64-bit Non-Plus-Ultra preamp engine and its DNC+ nonlinear computing and convolution system. The included Pwr/Cab section models the tube power amp, cabinet, microphone, and studio preamp as an interacting chain instead of treating the cabinet as a static clean IR.
The extra shaping sections make Mars800Free more flexible than a bare amp head.
