Description
Formant is Minimal Audio's lightweight vocal tone shaper for moving a sound's formants—the resonant detail that shapes its perceived character—without transposing the musical note. It pairs that core formant shift with a tilt EQ and dry/wet blend, so it can move from modest vocal brightening or deepening to an obvious transformed voice without building a larger vocal chain.
The interface is centered on an XY pad: horizontal movement adjusts Shift, while vertical movement adjusts Tilt. This deliberately compact layout makes it practical to automate animated vocal changes, audition a new character quickly, or blend the result in parallel with the untouched signal.
