Description
GroovEmu Arranger is a Windows-only REAPER arranger system that lets you build arrangement sections on the timeline and perform them live with chord-controlled accompaniment. It is designed for musicians who want the feel of a hardware arranger keyboard while keeping REAPER's editing, routing, instruments, and effects in the center of the workflow.
The system is split between Edit Mode and Live Mode. In Edit Mode, you prepare VAR and FILL regions, rhythm parts, accompaniment tracks, solo instruments, MIDI, and effects; in Live Mode, the PLAYER region follows variations and fills while GroovEmu Live Transposer handles harmony from your left-hand chord input.
GroovEmu includes three installed components: GroovEmu Reaper Engine, GroovEmu Live Transposer, and GroovEmu Sound Module. The bundled demo project gives every user a configured starting point with 128 essential instruments, prepared REAPER FX, structured MIDI, manuals, and a ready-to-play arranger layout.
The Health system is the safety net for experiments. It can rebuild master tracks, child tracks, required FX order, plugin settings, and VAR/FILL setup when a project gets broken or when you want to start from an empty REAPER session.
This is best understood as a REAPER performance workflow rather than a normal plugin for every DAW. Keyboard players, songwriters, cover creators, and REAPER users can use it to test chord progressions, switch sections, trigger fills, and shape full arrangements without constantly stopping playback to edit MIDI.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is GroovEmu Arranger a normal VST plugin?
No. The official page describes it as a complete arranger system for REAPER, with multiple installed GroovEmu components and a prepared demo project. It is not a general-purpose plugin intended for every DAW.
Do you need to be an experienced REAPER user to try it?
Not necessarily. The download includes a ready-to-play demo project and guides, so users can open the prepared setup and start experimenting before building their own arrangements.
What does GroovEmu install?
The official download page says the installer includes GroovEmu Reaper Engine, GroovEmu Live Transposer, GroovEmu Sound Module, a demo project, and user manuals. The product page also describes the sound module as a shared 128-instrument foundation.
Can you use your own instruments instead of GroovEmu Sound Module?
Yes. The official page says GroovEmu Sound Module gives users a shared sound foundation, but you can replace it with your own favorite VST instruments.
